Yes, the FAMOUS Gretsch Country Gentleman!

If Mr. Ringo Starr offered me a Snare Drum and my first response was not wanting it because then no one will believe it so there's no bragging rights, it deserves someone who will appreciate it and not let anyone even near it. I personally would cherish such an important piece of Music History and take care of it as long as I could.

When George's guitar found out it could go back home with him, it gently wept.

Norm could’ve gotten George’s guitar AND a picture with him to commemorate and verify the deal, what an incredible loss

I used to live in England close to George Harrison’s house in Henley on Thames and Norm is right the Beatles do mean so much to so many people! They changed music forever and were great songwriters and musicians!

1956 Fender Esquire. 1994. Pulled from under the bed of a childhood friend. Got it for free. Hadn't ever heard of "vintage guitars".
Traded it for a 94 Mexican strat and a Peavey Studio 210.
Made out like a bandit

I just missed meeting George. My instructor in Denver had him in his store, and I went in for my lesson, and he had just left. He visited Gordon Close's Melody Music and purchased a hognose mini amp.

Mine was a classic vibe semi hollow tele with a maple neck and an f hole in the side. Two humbuckers. Played awesome and probably could’ve bought it at the time but decided to save money. It was on the cheaper side of guitars but I loved how it felt. Haven’t found one that felt the same since.

My “Guitar that got away “ was a 1960 Gretsch Chet Atkins Nashville in MINT CONDITION in orange . SUPERB
I traded it for a nice Gibson 345 which was also nice. .
