A Closer Look at….Aging

Показать описание
What challenges does aging pose to individuals and society at large? What causes aging at the cellular and molecular level? What if we could trick stem cells into thinking they were young again? If so, could we leverage stem cells to help live longer, healthier lives? These are just some of the fascinating questions researchers are exploring in today's closer look at the aging process. Robert A.J. Signer, Ph.D., and Shiri Gur-Cohen, Ph.D., examine aging at the molecular and cellular level to show how stem cells may be the key to preventing age-related health problems. Good information and hopeful for the aging process. I also learned that we can increase our life span being healthy with exercising and proper diet. It is encouraging to know that scientists are interested in finding the reason we age

What do these scientists eat and how much activity or exercise do they do? Do the use supplements to help? What about their mental health activities? Surely they behave in ways that reflect their newest knowledge?

Very informative.
The "old stems cells in young environment" works better than "young stem cells in old environment" is counter to what I have believed.
This means that you cannot inject stem cells into a old person (=old environment) and make it work even though the stem cells are still fresh.
I am curious to know what plays the role of the orchestra conductor.

When we do hair laser depilation, do we destroy only hair follicles or stem cells too?
Does depilation affects tissue regeneration capacity in that zone?

Would be keen to understand how your research could help polycystic kidney and liver patients as this disease comes with reduced fascia and poor vascular system.

such interesting and educational presentations! One of the keys to a longer, healthier life is thus to influence the amount of hsf1 protein in the stem cells! how does NIR/infrared light affect the function of the stem cells and the amount of hsf1 protein? Regards Olle 🇸🇪 nurse in Sweden.

Please give tips & tricks on how to achieve longevity. Should we be doing lymphatic massage? Sleeping with the head of the bed raised 6" to encourage lymphatic drain at night? Exercise? Rebounding (mini trampoline )? Any foods that will help (fish oil)?

We keep hearing about stem cells every few years or so but nothing is happening. My question is when will we actually be able to help people and get this rolling. I mean there is alot of money to be made here.
