STAFDA 2018: Diablo REDefining Metal Cutting

By Far the most amazing display of metal cutting I've seen. If wondering what saw blade to buy when cutting metal, look no further. Diablo has changed the game when it comes to the ability to cut wood and metal simultaneously. Their new designed tracking point, metal/wood blade, and carbide recip saw blades are light years ahead of other blades on the market. I can't wait to get these blades on site and truly put them to the test. I run the Diablo cermet carbide 77 tooth 14" blades in my Dewalt cold cut saw. Absolutely love the performance they deliver and contrary to what some say they are resharpenable. Just have to find the right guy.

Yes carbide blades are making a difference in vehicle extrication. So are cordless hydraulic tools. There are some situations where the carbide recip blades are a better option, but his numbers are not apples to apples comparisons. Nonetheless Diablo blades do quite well in the extrication process and they are opening new paths and techniques to get patients out faster.

Thanks for heads up about the upgrade to the Steel Demon line because been wanting to add something like this to our cordless 6-1/2" saw to make cold cuts when cutting rebar to length before loading up at home improvement centers.

Last I checked, Diablo was a brand of Freud which was bought by Bosch around ten years ago. I’m surprised they aren’t using Bosch tools at the event.

I wonder if there blades last longer because the Milwaukee metal cutting circular saw has a Milwaukee blade for metal and everyone says it last longer. I wonder if were ever going to see a company that sells blades but also sharpens blades for free.

It’s interesting, Diablo is owned by Bosch but yet they don’t use any Bosch tools for the demos.

A Sawzall/Recip blade that lasts 50 times longer ? 500 cuts instead of 10, Don't believe that one at all. Good video though.

BS I wasted 40 bucks on their metal blade and cut 6 pieces of 16 ga flat and it did not have a tooth left on it
