3 things that DESTROY your golf game [EASY TO FIX]

These 3 things that can ruin your golf swing and therefore your game but are easy to fix

The backswing has been described by the best golf coaches in the world as the most important part of the golf swing. Get out of position at the top of the backswing and you are likely to have a hard time playing any consistent golf.

If you have found yourself hitting a wonderful golf shot one minute only to follow it with a shocker, then you might possess one of these 3 common swing faults.

I see them day in day out on the lesson tee and they ruin so many golf swings. What's awesome though is they aren't difficult to fix and with some deliberate golf practice can produce amazing golf shots.

ABOUT DANNY
-----------------------
Thanks for stopping by. I created this website as a resource just for you to support you on your golfing journey as I know how tricky learning this game can be…to say the least!

I personally found learning the game too long and difficult in the early days. I read all the books, watched all the videos but my game was not improving. Then after studying various forms of neuro science, motor learning, psychology and personal development in less than two years I went from struggling golfer to the final stage of the Open Championship.

Be prepared though. If its a quick fix you are after Im not your man. Here I will give you step-by-step advice that you can take straight to the practice ground and apply to the course but it will require you to get stuck in, screw up…a lot, practice some more and then watch those scores tumble

I’ve had the pleasure of coaching thousands of students all around the world and if you are up for the challenge and are ready to get in the game…LETS GO TO WORK!

Danny, you are the best instructor I have seen on YouTube. You teach the "Critical Golf Swing Factors" in a way that others don't and make it very easy to better understand the golf swing. This is the second one of your instructions I have viewed. I've been around golf for over 65 years and wish I would have your teachings would have been able to have you teach me!! Thank you, thank you, thank you Danny. Keep it coming 🙂

“Let them go (the angles)” - genius Danny and an epiphany for me. Tried it on the range before the game yesterday and then on the course and it simply tied in all the other things I have tried to change to strike the ball better. I have truthfully never, in 20 years of golf, hit my irons, hybrids and 3 wood better. Example, I got 160 yards carry on my 5 iron on a par 3 where I used to use my 3 hybrid!!

I just received a very similar lesson from a local professional and incredibly, I started taking nice divots on my irons and eliminated all weak shots to the right. I had been scoring consistently in the mid 80s and now after this lesson my last 5 rounds have been mid 70s and each round is getting better as I keep practicing. This is a wonderful and very important lesson. Very well presented Mr. Maude. The dumbell presentation is spot on!

Again Danny, you are genius! Your films has been a huge help for my game. Last summer my handicap was 16.5 and today it is 10.8. I have added consistency, accuracy and distance to all of my shots. Especially my driver has taken huge leap forward. Last summer it was about 180 meters, and usually with huge slice. Now it is from 220 to 250 meters. It all comes down to the way you explain things. I can easily take your advices to the driving range and start swinging. For example, this video helped a lot with my release. So huge thank you, Danny!

The analogies you use just make so much sense. My instructor has been telling me to turn my left wrist. But your dumbbell analogies make way more sense. The last chipping video too with holding a ball underwater. It's huge! I literally can visualize and feel that now. Thank you for all your videos and guidance.

Your last three lessons, starting with the Pete Cowan lesson have fit together wonderfully. I am much more conscious of "allowing" my lead arm to pronate on the backswing which helps keep my lead wrist flat at the top and the club on plane. Then by "allowing" my lead arm to supinate through impact I am releasing the club without getting "flicky". This lesson just adds to that. Don't force it as you clearly showed today. My contact with longer irons, hybrids and especially fairway woods has improved dramatically thanks to a lesson on hitting pitch shots. Today was very hot and this evening I went out to just work on my "Cowan" pitch. Now this lesson is just an extension. Super clear and well explained. PS That Cowan guy might have a future as a teacher😁

Yup, this is one of your best yet. My daughter struggles with this and now you have giving me some good dynamics to help her get consistent hits on the course and enjoy golf more.

Danny, that dumbell concept did the trick. I felt a groove in my swing I have been struggling to find. Thank you.

I’ve only been playing for 2 years. Once I found your videos my game has greatly, far from good, improved. Thank you Danny

Thank you Danny Maude for getting me back on track!!! After almost 2 years off due to injury, yesterday I carded a 41 on front nine. A milestone for a higher handicapper like myself. Thanks for your simple suggestions.

Of all the nice golf guys and ladies on internet, you are the best, Danny. You exactly describe first my problem and then the solution. Thank you! I apply your advice, and it works.. slowly but surely.

Many thanks Danny it's nice to be reminded on certain points as we sometimes drift back into old habits.

I can't thank you enough. As a "pandemic" golfer it took me two years to finally understand how to move properly when standing over the ball.

This video helped me to move from trying to "hit the ball" to an easy way to "swing the club". It's like a miracle happened and everything became so effortless. The wrist bending and path through the ball position was what did it for me.

Consistent strikes, almost identical flight path, close to the same target position over and over again. I had my best day ever practicing.
I am so grateful to your advice and teaching techniques; I was wondering if I ever "get it" and now I am looking forward to improve precision and distance and can't wait to get back on the range.

Danny had a blast playing in a night golf tournament with all the tips you have given so I could play in the dark. Crushed it! We played 6 of 9 of my drives! At 62, started 3 yrs ago. Loving the game!

another fantastic lesson/tip. I shot a 79 yesterday...not my first time breaking 80, but it's been a long while since I ruptured my achilles last year. I'm still a work in progress, but every little bit helps.

Wow, the point you made at 5:33 just described my biggest mishits - and the thing I'm trying to eliminate. Thanks for the explanation here.

Top top lesson can't thank you enough I'm brand new to golf I didn't even have a swing!! Tried this at the range and I was hitting my irons straight as arrows clean and effortlessly I was all tense before now I'm relaxed, the back arm hinge really was the eureka moment for me mate, next time I play I will use irons all the way round till I learn to drive that's my next plan thanks once again 😀
