Kanao ya está empezando a decidir por sí misma, a expresar lo que siente y Shinobu se sorprendió al verla molesta.

Los pongo en contexto para que entiendan:
Los padres de Kanao, en si su familia era pobre (como lo dijo ella misma en el anime) su padre era muy violento, si alguno de sus hijos hacia algo mal o bueno a veces no hacían nada e igual les pegaba, los dejaba sin comer y durmiendo afuera.
La mamá pues, no los defendía solo se quedaba viendo.
Luego de vender a Kanao, días después una noche llega un demonio a su casa y mata a los únicos dos hijos que le quedan, en eso la madre se escapa y bueno hace su vida de nuevo en mejores condiciones.
y de su padre, no se sabe nada 🤔

I put them in context so you understand: Kanao's family was poor (as she herself said in the anime) her father was very violent, if one of her children did something bad or well sometimes they did nothing and still hit them, leaving them wihout eating and sleepy outside.
The mother, well, she did not defend them, she only watching how their children were mistreated.
After selling Kanao, days later one night a demon arrives at her house and kills her only two remaining children, in that her mother escapes and well makes her life better again conditions.
