My motivation: support my family. Both the one that raised me, and the one that I'll one day raise.

One of my IT Technical goals I had set when I first started back in 2005. To give my wife and our 2 daughters a better life than I

I been in the IT Field for 8 years as a computer technician and now it's time to take it to the next step. My motivation is my two daughters and my wife that support me on my studies. Thanks for the great info that you provide. #CCNA

I can vouch for this. Graduated college last year, got my CCNA in March. Now I make 52k at 27 and have my hands deep in VoIP and routing/switching.

I can totally vouch for this, I work in the Midwest (Not as hot as Dallas), I am 25 and make 60k a year at the moment. I don't even have my CCNA, hoping to rock it in January! My goal is literally exactly this 100k before 30, and I can see that happening now.

I work on a help desk and my boss just asked me to setup as a jr network tech. I'm very excited. I've been hardcore studying for my CCNA. We can do this! Let's Go Techs! All I need now is a bread lol

I am currently in the military and ended up stumbling upon your videos. They're super motivating as I recently picked up my first IT job. I've got a college degree but never really ended up using that! Really happy that I've ended up finding something that I enjoy doing and is challenging day in and out. Thanks for the advice and pathway. I sit for my CCENT exam in January! Wish me luck!

Hey Chuck! Just want to thank you for the great information you provide. I stepped into the networking field a couple months ago with a great entry level opportunity on a global team. I am taking my ICND1 in a couple weeks followed up shortly after by ICND2. Extremely thankful I stumbled upon your channel. Thanks again for the insight and have a wonderful Holiday.

Everyone needs to listen to what he's saying you need to be willing to job hop. I speak from experience in my early 40's now and wish I would have jumped from company to company.

Totally agree...I'm in RTP @ Cisco as a Network Egineer in TAC and it's plenty of opportunities for growth in this field but you have to put in the work.

The most desired careers in hitech are developers and devops today.
A good Linux devops can easily do 120k today in US.
Here in Israel devops Linux engineer makes around 30-35k NIS monthly which is around 10k usd or 120k yearly, and it's Israel where prices are high, in USA same 120k can buy you much much more so if you study hard and work hard, then most paths in IT career be it devops, networking, security, development or similar will land you around 100k in 4-5 years for sure.
Just look for small companies first, where you have freedom to learn and try new things.
Big companies like Google or Amazon will usually limit you in your work experience as most things there are already implemented and you mostly maintain current infrastructure .
A company of about 200-400 employees is the best spot to be in

I'm 23 and do basic help desk right now and I am getting paid a little over 64k, I doubled by switching to a job I wasn't even looking for. Just got a call from a recruiter and landed it. It's a blessing from God. Right now I am working on cloud infrastructure and management.
