My favorite gun in the game!

Before I got into DRG I mained Torbjorn in Overwatch and loved the Riskrunner in Destiny.
When my cousin introduced me to the game I was like, "wait, I can play a dwarf with a turret _and_ and electric SMG!?"

The stubby isn't terrible, it's just not as flashy as an A.I powered smg, or as satisfying as a shotgun; the Deepcore Assault Rifle of the Engineer weapons. I will fully admit though, the turret arc rework is phenomenal compared to what it used to be.

Fun fact, the electric damage bonus of stubby is not just more consistent, but actually optimal instead of going straight into weakspot damage. The bonuses add multiplicatively, making greater over all damage than two additive weakspot bonuses.

Am I the only one that's bothered by the fact that the dwarves aren't holding the stubby with both hands on the front grip?

A note to add on the commentary about Plastcrete Catalyst "sucks". A perhaps massively overlooked aspect of the OC is that the AOE damage and size increases by 50% when shooting the platforms. That is a significant amount of extra damage. You don't even need to shoot it until it blows up, just spec the gun for AOE (T1A, T2B, T5C), and then move the beam off and back onto the platform to intentionally avoid the explosion. You do this to not force the gun into recharge and keep up the damage.

I've been using my own variation of the shock jock build for years now. It was highly underrated back then, but the fact that I could kill 3+ bugs with only 2-3 rounds to my turret was amazing. Now that the explosion doesn't friendly fire I can only imagine how good it must be now

"Stubby is the worst engineer primary"

Micro-Conductor add-on is the MOST POWERFUL engineer primary in the entire game, allowing you to completely shut down grunt enemies

I don't think I use repellent on any build, I WILL man the cheese forts, I WILL collect the tolls for the cheese bridges and I WILL build Doretta a cheese umbrella

I love the redo of the turret arc overclock makes the weapon not only viable but super fun.

Constantly in awe of the effort you put into these videos - and despite the large amounts of editing, it doesn't feel overedited at all. Speaks to a certain aesthetic sense methinks. The gun is cool too

Stubby is my favorite weapon in the game, had no idea people were considering it bad, I use it with EM refire booster oc, love this weapon❤

Was not expecting to see my home city in a Sniss video 4:08! Had me do a double take there. Good vid, I honestly used to hate the stubby, but i gave it a try a little bit back and its quickly become an equal for the other primaries, love running it on critical weakness with the new overclock.

I really like running all electricity with EM refire booster (all 2's, but can be changed here or there for preference), because it's really good at crowd control and slowing down crowds without giving up your damage or your reliability like EM discharge or micro-conductor. Despite using the same OC as the build in the video, it's practically a completely different weapon. I also like running it with overdrive booster on the shard diffractor (3 2 2 1 1) to melt big enemies, or to spray down large swarms after they're held in place, and because it pairs well with electricity if you run it right.

I LOVE the Stubby! I haven't played in 2 seasons but I always loved clip-dumping into bug backs! Can't wait to try it out this season when I get around to playing again
