Figured we'd briefly step away from the kayak rigging series to bring you this small video on the setup and overview of my new fish finder!

We apologize for any blurry or hard-to-see parts of this video, it's very difficult to get the camera to focus on something like this.

Disclaimer: We are new to fish finders and we will be running them for the first time this coming season. We did not mention that the quickdraw map actually maps out the depths of the pond as you move along. Which is a very interesting feature. There are also many features we missed in this tutorial. If you have any questions comment below.

I brought this item for my kayak was all I could afford at the time but I’m very very happy with it specially the shallow alarm haha because hobie pedals get expensive when you keep smashing the fins into the ground .. I honestly didn’t even realise I can change the screen cos I switch between the 3 screens and clearvu and sounder one cos I like having the fish finder sonar one up most so I’m ganna adjust it to the three like you showed run sounder on top and clearvu and maps down bottom :) thank you guys for this in-depth video

Your quick draw will actually map the bottom of your waterway on your maps. So it will not just look like a black screen. You will have to go into setting to start the quick draw. So it is gps set up.

Nice job guys. I have the 7SV waiting to mount on mine. I also pulled the trigger on a motor guide xi3 non gps model. Still haven't bought the 133x yet but it is what ill be buying. I also feel you guys have some big nuts to be drilling all the holes to mount everything lol. That is the thing that makes my the most nervous about the kayak is mounting stuff.

You will find that on that small of a screen using multiple views at the same time the details will be so small it will be harder to determine what it is actually showing on your screen.
Best to pick the one view you want to use at the time and display only that view on the screen.

Is there a way to change the color pallete pf the clearvu on this? I can't stand the Black/blue color on the demo I was looking at.

I have this device but I don't have the clearvu options? Do you know why? I have the gt8 transducer. Garmin website says mine has clearvu but it doesn't. What gives? I have the Garmin Exact same as yours...

once it maps out the lake, does it save it for the next run? If I'm always at the same lake, could I map it out myself and add to it at every run?

Probably would have been a better quality video if it wasn't shot in a darkroom? Might be better for your eyes but a camera will just over expose anything bright if the surroundings are dark. Other than that, very informative
