The Waco siege was the law enforcement siege of the compound that belonged to the religious sect Branch Davidians. It was carried out by the U.S. federal government, Texas state law enforcement, and the U.S. military, between February 28 and April 19, 1993. The incident began when the ATF attempted to serve a search and arrest warrant on the ranch. An intense gunfight erupted, resulting in the deaths of four government agents and six Branch Davidians. Upon the ATF's entering of the property and failure to execute the search warrant, a siege lasting 51 days was initiated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). Eventually, the FBI launched an assault and initiated a tear gas attack in an attempt to force the Branch Davidians out of the ranch. Shortly thereafter, the Mount Carmel Center became engulfed in flames. The fire resulted in the deaths of 76 Branch Davidians, including 25 children, two pregnant women, and David Koresh.

“Do you feel like a hero yet, fed boy ?”

And to think, there were multiple times where law enforcement straight up said they could arrest him because he went out to stores and stuff. Instead the ATF insisted on sieging the compound and caused a national tragedy that still has lasting effects to this day. Undoubtedly it will continue to for years to come.

As a Texan, I can tell y’all that this event has scarred that town. Anytime people pass Waco on the highway, they feel a pit in their stomach.

The implication is that ATF agents felt bad after, but they really took photos and bragged about it for years.

To this day Ruby Ridges and Waco make my stomach turn, why don't more people know about it, why aren't people taught about it, and why the hell was there no consequence for the federal agencies responsible?

You did a fine job on this sir. The change in facial expression and the glowing really wrap it together. The sound combination is absolutely wonderful. Another fine video.

Waco siege
ATF deceased: 4
Branch Davidians deceased: 82 (out of 91, including 46 children)
Cause: owning a firearm without permit (not harm-related crime)
This seems deliberate… like the Feds sending a message or something. “But the atf deceased!” I’d probably start resorting to actually trying to decease the man, that mid-fight, took my family from me right before my eyes too.

I live in Waco Tx, about 1.5 miles or so from where the compound used to be. I remember seeing Koresh jogging down the street, and waving at him, I also remember watching the siege unfold...
