An unusual encounter between a cat and a rat was caught on film in Esch-sur-Alzette, Luxembourg. It started off normally enough, with a cat chasing a rat. Suddenly, the rat gained the upper hand and chased off the larger animal.

as this shows, cats are not great at catching rats. they are fantastic mousers, but an aggressive rat can do real damage to a cat. cats are actually more likely to ignore rats altogether
