What I Really Think About CitraBlue St Augustine Grass

This is what I think about CitraBlue St Augustine grass a couple of months into working with it. The primary things I notice are the mowing frequency and mowing height differences. CitraBlue is dark bluegreen and stout. Will for sure choke out weeds as good or better than Floratam (my opinion).
This is not sponsored, I do it for love.

I was watching you and Cleetus before you guys got together to renovate the track. I was excited then and still excited that you guys got together to get that grass right at the track. I love what you have done to help him out and share your knowledge, cuz he surely needed it, the place was a wreck. To me seems like a perfect collaboration. Love getting Freedom Factory grass updates. BTW Thanks for all the videos which have helped me get my grass going the right way. Gave her some Flagship last week, she be happy happy😀

I got a tray of the citrablue plugs to try in my shady areas here in Texas. So far it’s growing well in an area that my regular St. Augustine refused to grow. Great stuff.

Put down citra blue in the backyard little over year ago. Highly recommend it. Low vertical growth. Repairs itself pretty quickly, handles foot traffic better than other St Augustine varieties.

Anyone else notice Alan’s LCN sign board in the background with the other advertisers in the beginning of the video?? Nice slip in plug there Allyn. 👍👍

Our grandmother was the only one in her neighborhood with St. Augustine - everyone else had Zoysia or Bermuda. But, she would have a fit if you talked about getting a herbicide anywhere near it.

You should do a class on how to identify different types of St Augustine grass😊!

Funny thing about those clouds coming into your weather scene, finally can say rain, rain, go away and come back another day.

Still waiting to see the e-bike ripping it on the track!

I've had my Citra Blue lawn for 1 year now in SW Florida and it has been amazing, I have had some pest pressure recently not sure what has gotten it but it repairs itself very fast. Mow it low!

Allyn, I hope you are not floating away with all that rain I think you are getting in Florida. Seems like the drought will be over with the amount of rain you are receiving now. Take care!

We have citrablue and it’s just not doing well. Using the flagship and rgs and good watering it’s just struggling. Our growth rate is just slow. Any tips on this? We are in Vero beach FL. Maybe you could do a video just on citrablue?

Lawn care nut, do you prefer this or ProVista? I'm looking for a low-maintenance grass that looks nice in North Florida winters.

I hope this is a better alternative to ProVista. My ProVista can’t repair itself due to the growth regulator being so overpowered. Even when throwing a ton of N down.

The one thing I DONT like about my CitraBlue is that it's so spongy that whenever the HOA provided lawn care service cuts the grass they end up scalping parts of it out very bad, now I just cut it myself.
