BORIS Johnson recently launched a fresh charm offensive on voters by releasing a Love Actually inspired video urging Brits to back him.

The three-minute clip - entitled Brexit Actually - features the PM on a woman’s doorstep and using written signs to ask for her vote - and warns the election is "closer than you think".

The spoof of the iconic British rom-com shows the PM peeling the signs away one by one as silent night plays in the background.

Using a pile of billboards and a stereo playing carols, he emulates the famous scene between Andrew Lincoln and Keira Knightly.

They read: “With any luck by next year we will have Brexit done (if Parliament doesn’t block it again) and we can move on.

“But for now let me say, your vote has never been more important. The other guy could win.

“So you have to make a choice - between a working majority or another gridlocked hung Parliament.”

It ends with the PM walking away and telling the camera “enough, enough - let’s get this done”.

The PM’s team have been working on the slick video clip for some time.

But they nearly pulled the plug on it after Labour MP Rosina Allin-Khan had the same idea and put out a spoof of the same scene on her Twitter last month. United kingdom Prime Minister Christmas Special Video. Merry Christmas.
