The backrooms really do feel like a 70s Kubrick film. Especially with the mirrored render, it looks like 2001. Even without the visual similarities, the concept seems very much like a movie Kubrick would’ve made

this says so much about the experiment. incredible technology, unbelieveable power, yet it is stained with the madness that gave it life. The one who scribbled and doodled on his notepad these great machines, his insanity is now alive in it. This has got to be my favorite of Kane's works. there is such power here, it is almost staggering, and it almost overpowers the melody...almost.
