Forza Horizon 3 – PC vs. Xbox One Graphics Comparison

We compare the graphics of Forza Horizon 3 on PC and Xbox One. PC is set to max graphics while motion blur is turned off. There is an overview of the graphics options at the end of the video. Forza Horizon 3 takes you to Australia to race its diverse landscape from beautiful beaches, lively rain forests to the rocky canyons of the outback. The digital version of Forza Horizon 3 is a play anywhere title, which allows you to get a copy of the game for Xbox One and Windows 10 Anniversary Edition.

The best thing about this game is that PC and Xbox Players can play together, it's great how the graphics are barely different too :D

It would be better to have PC run at 4K, that way you would truly max out the PC version of the game. Uploading in 4K would also benefit the Youtube bitrate.

The difference in FPS is VERY noticeable, although the graphics are really close, they look great on both! Really beautiful game!

Also, apparently there's some optimization on the PC side that hasn't been done yet. Since I reviewed the game, I was just sent an update by Microsoft.

"NVIDIA and AMD will both be releasing game-ready drivers for Forza Horizon 3 today (Wednesday, Sept. 21). Until this time, current up-to-date drivers will work but won’t include performance optimizations and stability improvements in the NVIDA and AMD drivers."

So we'll have to wait on those new drivers to see the actual performance.

Not much difference in graphics, but you can very clearly see that the Xbox One runs at a lower FPS

Aside from some very minor differences, it's definitely nice to see the game in a higher frame rate. I've never been one for visuals, but stability is definitely my bag!
