Is the Runescape 3 mobile client very, very good?
yes.

Is it perfect?
no.

Is it worth downloading and playing on your phone?
yes.

Seriously this is probably the best mobile MMO was have right now.

I started playing RS3 for the first time ever yesterday, i almost haven't stopped the game ( slept 3 hrs this night lol ) this game is just incredible

I pre-register for game and forget about it. I go about my life as normal. I see review that reminds me, go to download and I see it's pre installed.

30 minutes in and I've already lost track of my life.

I feel like Josh's review, while excellent, benefits him as a long time player of RuneScape. I feel that the experience for a brand new player who discovers this app on the app store by chance will have a FAR different (and worse) experience than someone who knows the many intricacies of this MMO. I think Jagex could have done a LOT more to make the new player experience a lot better before launching this publicly onto the app stores. I had my friend download it (not a RS player) and he was completely lost and had a horrible time with the app and gave up, and he is an MMO player (WoW/FinalFantasy14).

Fun fact. I don't have a strong PC at home and I play mostly on mobile once this was released, so when I play this game at home I use my monitor with my Samsung DEX on my Samsung s20 FE [not 5g edition] So when this game released on mobile I was wonder how well is it optimized for DEX as some apps aren't fully optimized. Surprised to see this game is FULLY OPTIMIZED to DEX in terms of mouse and keyboard support - playing on DEX mode is exactly like playing on PC [but with slightly less graphical fidelity] - Nice awesome work JAGEX !

theoretically you can encode 3 8-bit characters into the RGB value of a pixel, and have about 6.2 million characters still technically readable in a 1080p frame, but video compression wouldn't really like that. :(

I can’t wait until better tech and a portable keyboard plug in enables phones to play all the bigger MMOs
