The tension and the overall atmosphere when that ball bounced on the rim like that was the most intense moment I've ever personally witnessed watching a basketball game

as someone who just assumed the raps would never win a championship in my lifetime, this whole run was insane. having this legendary shot be a part of it was just icing on the cake. powell is also a raps legend now.

Felt like the entire basketball world who was watching that game had the exact same reaction the announcers did.

Like Norm said, “that was peak basketball” . Couldn’t agree more, watching that series go to 7 games was such an experience so to get Norms perspective is cool 🔥🙏

"[...] a shot that flat"

I must be washed, flat!? He shot the ball high enough to literally leave the view of the broadcast frame 😂

I remember before the inbound i was thinking no way they're gonna hit a winner - i was slumped over expecting OT. Then they hit the shot and ofc couldn't belive it. Great time in my life. Its an NBA moment but it felt like such personal life moment. The whole thing meant a lot when you watch a team go from nothing as a kid to a something in your life time

Norm was always a class act. Great memories of that golden year as a Raptors fan. Very underrated career. Happy he’s doing so well in LA w/ the Clippers.

I remember when that shot went up. I was working out at Bailys in Jacksonville, Florida. That was an insane back and forth that lead up to that bucket.

I saw someone use that shot as proof that the NBA has controlled magnetic rims to boost viewership 😂😂

That Philly team probably would have won it all if they'd won that game.

It wasn’t a sliding doors moment- the game was tied, Toronto was home and the better team and would’ve been favoured in OT. Best Embiid team but the only reason it went 7 is because Toronto couldn’t hit an open 3 all series

I'll always believe if Jimmy resigned with Philly they'd have made a Finals run &possibly won it all.

I remember thinking embidd needed to be a step or 2 closer to the left and then there would have been no shot he makes it.

Just ignore all the bad four year players and use the outlier exceptions as to why four year players should be rated higher. What a moronic thing to say. Like if a player is really good it becomes evident in year one and they get drafted they don't wait until they are 23 to pound on 18 year old kids to show the world how good they are. What an idiotic opinion to have
