Can I drive my car with a Bad Knock Sensor?

I have a bad knock sensor and my fuel economy has increased impressively. I'm considering leaving it like that.

I had a bad O2 sensor and got better fuel mileage and though I know it was starving my engine it was nice being able to go 2-3 weeks on a tank

I run on a bad knock sensor, bad map sensor, bad trans, bad axel, bad ball joint. To be fair I do drive a 95 Toyota

Dont drive with bad sensor, my car used to loose power and stall while over taking, as it is an old car while using AC, it stalls faster

I had a rat eat though my pigtail for it drove it ran rough bad idle detonation like crazy when under moderate load drove it like that for about a month did some piston head damage and overheated but nothing that really was to crazy I would get it replaced as soon as possible if so

My knock sensor is bad and will cause ur check engine light to flash… then it will go into limp mode which decreases power and acceleration dramatically… not a little… amazing how one wire can cause so many problems

I've had this code on my car for a year I couldn't tell you if it caused an issue or not it runs just fine. My alternator is going out and my starter went out and is replaced. But the O'Reilly's is acting like the knock sensor is more important than the alternator

Can it throw your car in "limp mode" or make it feal as though it isn't getting enough fuel pressure?

My 06 camry rough idles even after warm-up and can hear over the noise like eggs are being cooked. For $23 and weekend, I'd try to fix it

I have had issues in the past of knock sensors making my transmission shift funny. And it's currently doing it again. I think the last time I only replaced one of them. I'm doing both as we speak

I replaced both knock sensors when I redid my oil pressure gauge and I replaced the harness too and now my engine light is coming on telling me it’s a knock sensors. Hopefully, it’s not faulty from new.

It can fool you into thinking your transmission is going out with the herky jerkies going up hills. It resembles rapid up and downshifting. But it is not your transmission at all, it is the engine trying to figure out what to do. I had to have 4 put in at 298, 000 miles.
