Here's the review of the Agelocer 9101A1 Sports Series Skeletonised Tourbillon watch. This is something pretty unique and certainly not a combination that I have seen before.

Fabulous review! 2 years on, how is the watch holding up?

I for one enjoy seeing different watches being reviewed even if it is not something I will purchase. Thanks for the great review!

Just because it is Chinese made does not mean it sucks. Just because it is western made does not mean it's good, or even worth the asking price.

A friend of mine has got this watch in the more dressy case. It's really nice! Legibility is my only issue with it. They should do something to make the hands stand out a little more. Nice review mate!

It’s an absolutely stunning watch. The hard to see minute markers isn’t an issue because how often do you look at your watch and round it up? It’s not something I would wear but it is definitely worth the price.

Hey, beautiful watch and nice review!
However, I must say, its a Hangzhou movement. Agelocer are incorrectly stating the movements used in their watches as in-house. The only in-house thing about it is that they engraved it with their name and logo.
Hope this helps, I just dont tolerate lying Aliexpress sellers, most sellers are honest but you have the ones like Agelocer that are trying to spice things up wrongfully.

Looks amazing for the price compared to Swiss watches, but comparing their range of watches in terms of specs and finishes, you'd get much better value from other Aliexpress manufacturers like San Martin or Seestern for example. However, not many uses the Hangzhou movements yet since their cooler movements (tourbillions or 72-80hr power reservers or micro-rotor) are relatively new to the market. Hangzhou are actually a very interesting and growing movements manufacturer! Look them up and what movements they offer on their website which u can google. You will find this tourbillion among their other tourbillions there!

Best regards,
Rio

Hey!

Loved the video and I think this helped me go in the right direction. One question though...
After all this time with the watch, has any part of the mechanism failed on you? The last thing I would want is a $1000 paperweight
😅😅😅
THANKS!

Nice video, keep it up.
Would be interesting to see how accurate the in house movement is.

Thanks for another good, honest review. This watch looks like a cousin of a Waldhoff Vanguard V8, which is a sporty, skeletonized tourbillon. I know next to nothing about Waldhoff myself. The Vanguard V8 only came up recently as I was looking at various tourbillon watches. Around the same price point as this Agelocer. They say they're made in Germany, but I'm guessing they're probably assembled in Germany with Chinese parts. Of course, I could be totally wrong, but tourbillons at this price point are exceedingly rare and every one I've seen was Chinese. A German made, A. Lange & Söhne tourbillon will run you far, far, more than these but that's not a fair comparison. If you know of Waldhoff or reviewed their Vanguard V8, I'd love to hear your opinion/see your review of it. Thanks again!

To answer your question, no I wouldn't buy that watch for two reasons: (1) The complete non-starter for me (and the elephant in the room) is price. While I do have watches that cost as much (and more) than this watch, $1200 is a lot of money for me to spend on a watch. If I am going to spend that much money on a watch, I'd like to know that it is serviceable/repairable. Practically speaking, this watch is not. There's no way I am going to be able to find a watchmaker willing to service or repair that watch, especially if the movement really is "in-house." At that price, there are many alternatives from brands that I know I can get serviced and repaired. It's one thing to spend a couple of hundred on a "disposable" or "fun" watch, but not (for me) $1200. (2) The second reason is the branding. I would prefer more subtle branding on the watch. That AGELOCER across the top in white *REALLY* stands out and not in a good way.

This a very good looking watch. This watch is all about design and I personally wouldn't be wearing this for telling time. Two things that bother me so slightly are the Brand name. It wouldn't be a deal breaker but they could do a bit better in that department. The other thing I would change is having a great looking leather strap. It screams for leather! 😁

Cheers!

Agelocer has some interesting designs and the quality seems on a high level but so are the prices. I would like to try one sometime.

I was really expecting to hate this watch, but it surprised me. I don't like skeleton dials, but in this case the movement actually looks designed to be seen and looks good. I hate the way tourbillon watches have a complication aimed at increasing accuracy, but then have an illegible dial without all the minute markers. However, the case design, crown design and overall look won me over 👍. Yes it is too expensive for me, servicing is probably impossible and the brand at 12 hard to stomach, but I hope they sell a few as it is a brave attempt from a new (to me) brand. Thanks for reviewing 👍
Ps any chance you could get a timegrapher, I would have been fascinated to see how well that movement runs.

Nice video.
What is the watch accuracy ? Could be a bit difficult to figure this out since it does not have second hacking, but that minute hand should give an idea.

Looks a nice watch, not a fan of skeleton watches but I quite like the blue one

Hello. I'm a fan of Chinese watches that offer great quality at a good price. I have a few of them, but I would like to buy a gift and find a beautiful, classy watch. Unfortunately, it's very difficult. There's nothing decent for under $300. The specifications are weak for the price. I've looked at Chinese brands, and there's practically no such watch for women, except for Pagani Design. What I'm looking for is a quartz watch with a sapphire crystal, all stainless steel, and a 28mm case, specifically the PD-1647. Unfortunately, it's nowhere to be found, they may have stopped producing it. There's also a nice PD-1648, but it's also not available anywhere. Could you speak with Pagani people regarding the resumption of production? Other companies could also consider making a women's watch. There's definitely a demand for it, but they need to advertise it better. Make a video on YouTube to show how it looks, not just renders, and also share information on Reddit. For example, Escapement Time released a 35mm women's watch, and it sells well, but 35mm is still too big. The best size for women is up to 28mm and classy. Thank you in advance.

I agree that more contrasting hands would be better

High-End horology brands like Roger Dubuis and Girard Perregaux have similar looking tourbillons for $ 100 000 +
