About my new YouTube channel:
The official BRIAN MAY CHANNEL is designed to carry anything on film or video that relates to me [Brian May] outside Queen - to replace all the bits and pieces of music video that are currently around out there with new highest quality versions, and fill in the gaps; and to cover under one umbrella the other areas that I operate in … Stereoscopy, Astronomy, and my animal welfare work through my charity the Save Me Trust. Each of these areas will have their own playlist on the Brian May channel. But the intended pivot of it all is the entirely new part that we’re calling Brian Talks. This section will carry current ‘to the camera’ comments, updates and communications, and I’m hoping it will be a proper ‘voice’ for me, an outlet, as well as a way of glueing together the rest of the channel.

One of the first stereoscopes I saw was a modern one - a view of the Himalayas taken from the space shuttle. It was really amazing to see all of the peaks in seemingly perfect 3D

I didn't grow up on Queen music, but I learned to love it thru a friend who is a Queen fanatic, and to come to know that the guitarist likes physics, and particularly stereoscopy! I have my own Monarch stereoscope and various stereo-cards from around the turn of the century and of course a Viewmaster. I also have twenty-six year old theories in invisibility ( adaptive camouflage) and holodeck ( virtual immersion) technologies based on autostereoscopy that makes use of my modified version of light field integral imaging.

Hooray for Brian!!  Thanks for all that you've done to promote and celebrate stereoscopy!!  You all should make sure to get his books, they're fantastic.  The Diableries book is particularly fascinating.

I had the pleasure of attending the talk at Oxford University on the 4th of February entitled Egypt in the Stereoscope: From Francis Frith to Harry Burton. We saw some absolutely incredible images, some were vintage and some newly made and it kickstarted in me a fascination for stereoscopy. I’m currently looking for a stereoscopic viewer with an anaglyphic coating to allow the full range of stereo and 3D images to be viewed. Does anyone know where a viewer such as this could be purchased? I’m currently waiting for an owl mini to come through the post and looking forward to the fun I can have with the stereo images😊👓📷👍🏽

Hi Brian, I'd recommend putting these vids into a playlist, so they will play one after the other in sequence :)

Very interesting. I have all three of your books. I would like to buy a set of stereo cards with Queen plus Adam Lambert!

I was in that first selfie stick picture at the O2. Didn't see myself in the film though.

Hi Brian, that is very interesting. The 3-D images that I am familiar with is that of the "Magic Eye" books. If you are not familiar, it is where you look at an image and your brain draws out the images from a pattern of seemingly ambiguous colors or patterns. Is stereoscopy much like this in terms of cognitive resolution? Thanks.

hi, Brian, what cameras do you use yourself? are there any digital 3D cameras available, Ild like to be able to print out pics on my printer and use some special lenses and see the magic; btw I have Queen in 3D, first all pics were blurred, I was very unhappy with that, I thought it was much ado about nothing, then my girlfriend took the book and said she saw in 3D and then I was able to see... and it was amazing

I wish I could see these, but sadly my eyes do not work together, I only see out of one eye at a time, so such 3D effect techniques have no effect on me :(
