If you told me a year ago that my Glycine Airman in bronze would be my most worn watch, I wouldn't believe it - but here we are! I absolutely love it and actually use the 2nd time zone daily for friends in the UK

Glycine Combat Sub is one of the best bargain watches around. I bought mine from a gray market seller for $299 in 2017, when Glycine prices plunged after their acquisition by Invicta. I bought a Double 12 Airman as well, which I stupidly traded later. The Airman was famously used by several astronauts in the Gemini missions.
Did ya’ll know the founder of Glycine — Eugène Meylan — was murdered in 1955, beaten to death by a drinking companion.
And for a relatively new Swiss watch brand (1914), their list of horological patents is insane.

My daily watch is a Glycine Combat Sub.
It's always good to see them included in these lists, and well deserved. They are a solid choice, and they are readily available way under retail. Comes with an ETA movement, or quartz if one prefers.

I would definitely go with Citizen, Orient and Timex! My Timex Ironman has resisted pools, oceans, mountains, washing dishes, bike rides, running, falling and playing with big dogs. The level of affordable elegance of Orient's dress watches is unbeatable and the Eco-Drive tech with Citizen is top.

I love SEIKO watches and I have about 10 and the SEIKO samurai has to be my favorite

Casio & Seiko are my two favourite brands.

I would add one to the Seiko lineup. The sq100. You can get them for about £100-£150 when restored to good condition. It may be an old watch (mine is from 1980) but it's very reliable and looks quite good.

Orient watches are also solid bargains.

And I have a lot of G-shocks.
I recommend Orient, I have two of them. Very good value for the money and in my opinion better looking than Seikos.
