I must say that the music in this album is beautiful and I love the concept, but I've always felt that it was a big eff-you to his first wife. I've always resented Kenny Loggins for the way he treated her and rubbed this "unimaginable life" in her face. A great talent no doubt, but also a huge jerk. Also, his second wife always struck me as big flake.

That wife made me extremely uncomfortable. I bet she has an artisanal sandwich and candle shop in Portland. Just listening to her gentrified poetry raised my rent $500.

I still don't know how to feel about this record. I've loved it and the book for decades but something always struck me as artificial and wrong. Not his voice, though.
