Oz is also not a true subordinate, he's much more like a friend. He says things that Amy is feeling but can't seem to accept thanks to her anxiety. He can also defy orders and think for himself, in a voice line fischl asks that he block out the sun, he tells her that her lack of preparation doesn't constitute an emergency for him. Also there's the archipelago quest when he abandons our fischl, but he only does that to push her to be better.

Fischl is the Super-ego, the perfect form that she imagines herself to be, Oz is the Ego, the aspect that tries to be true to herself and others, Amy is the Id, the hidden shadow where all her insecurities and motivations lie.

All 3 parts make up her entire psyche and person, Amy's insecurities created Fischl and the imposter syndrome between Amy and Fischl is balanced by Oz who keeps her true to herself. Oz is the one who always says what Fischl really wants to express, that Amy doesn't dare to say and Fischl greatly exaggerates. All 3 parts are essential and led to her becoming a great adventurer and caring friend.

Freudian psychology is one of the most recurring themes and foundation for character design in all of Hoyoverse's games and characters.

WHY WAS THAT SUCH A GOOD FISCHL IMPRESSION

So you’re telling me that Razor’s electro wolf is the manifestation of his longing for a parent, not an actual ghost?

i have a headcanon that when fischl was little, she would use a sock puppet to act as oz when she would play pretend

It's literally stated in her vision story that Oz came about from her desire for a friend, along with her vision.

And Razor's wolf persona burst is the manifestation of his desire for to get head pats and protect the ones he loves.

I mean I know Oz and Razors wolf are different but it's interesting that they have summons that they conjured.
Though maybe I did miss something about Razor, who knows

nah, he's just a manifestation of the little sanity she has left.

Also, I Couldn't Help But Notice The Similarities Between Fischl And The Traveller
1] They Are Both From Another World (Amy isn't but her persona is)
2] They Both Have Flying/Traveling Companions, In One Of Traveler's Voiceline, The Traveller Compares Paimon To Oz.
3] This One Is Kinda Creepy But kinda cool too-
Sooo At the end of the teyvat story teaser, dainsleif says this "the threads of fate will be yours to reweave" to our traveller. And in one of fischl elemental skill / Voiceline, she says "the threads of fate lie in my hand" so Yeah-😅🤌

plot twist: Oz doesnt speak, fischl is a ventriloquist

I like to believe that fischl is actually a stand user who got shot by a stand arrow, and gained the ability to summon oz, her stand. Now, most people know that stands are a manifestation of the users desires and that stands are only visible to stand users so why does everyone see oz? Well that's because ALL of them are stand users, the world of genshin impact is one big Jojo reference where stands are are named visions. But this contradicts the entire show since A. The stand arrow isn't always a guaranteed chance to give you a stand and B. If this was truly the case then what purpose do the archons have? Well to answer that question we need to look at Jojos bizzare adventure golden wind (spoiler alert) when it the requiem arrow made it's debut by creating golden expirience requiem we see it force diavvolo into an infinite death loop where he cannot escape, an eternal prison specificcaly made for him with no way out, so how does this relate to the archons? Well thats because archons are the ones who have requiem versions of stands.

It says this in game. One soul, two personalities

This has now made me realize that when she said the line "you see that vast world out there? That's my imagination, the source of my power" I think that's where Oz also comes in

Fischl is indeed Oz, or more specifically Oz is a manifestation of Fischl's inner dialogue, like a second voice in your head that you converse with, brought to physical form. His connection to Fischl shows as he does get affected by Fischl's mental state, sometimes speaking weirdly when Fischl is mentally fatigued. And in rare cases they even "switch scripts" and Fischl accidentally spoke like Oz and vice versa.

I think that Oz would technically count as Amy's tulpa, and like you said would act as a grounding technique so that she can live out her fantasy as Die Prinzessin der Verurteilung

The extra and the initial point are likely simultaneously true.

I find it funny that everyone gets confused whenever Fischl speaks, but Oz gets flustered when Amy speaks.

I believe Oz is the representation of Amy's parent's love of her whe she was young, like an alfred to a batman
