I really enjoyed today's discussion! I stopped midway to do a deep dive of my own about Balaam. I'm sure I could go even deeper, but I have a decent page of notes that took me down a fun rabbit hole. Today's study of that topic came to this conclusion for me:

God is tired of the church being self-righteous, just as the Pharisees were self-righteous 2000+ years ago. There is nothing new under the sun.

Self-righteousness is about judging _other people_ according to the 10 commandments, which Jesus warned repeatedly not to do. The 10 commandments are to be used to _see your own sin_ and repent from it. The two-edged sword, wielded by the Holy One will do its work far more gently than when a man attempts to wield it. It begins like a pin prick because it is superficial at first--unpleasant but bearable: "All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." In this view of sin, one has been forgiven little so they love little. As the two-edged sword cuts deeper, commandment by commandment, it cuts all the way through to covetousness exposing all the filth in our hearts and is seen as _exceedingly_ sinful. One who has been forgiven exceedingly, loves exceedingly. Those who love exceedingly, forgive exceedingly. Their mercy endures forever, just like the mercy of their Father in heaven.

I was studying Mark 16:17 today and my mind was BLOWN!!!

I looked up Greek definitions of “Devils and New Tongues”

Devils = Ministers of the devil
New Tongues = unheard tongues (New Revelation ) as seen in 1 Corinthians 14:26. I think this means unheard interpretations 🤯🤯😂

I haven't dug deeply in the the beliefs or teachings of the preachers who are falling, but do many of them cling to doctrines akin to God burning sinners for an uncountable length of time in hell, or that Adam made a "free will choice" in the garden to rebel against God's commandment? You've mentioned before that some teach the false concept of "election" as if election is about who is saved and to hell with the rest of them, so to speak, so that is why I am not asking about that concept at this time.

Jesus revealed his God and our God as our LOVING Heavenly Father.

John 16:27
… for the Father himself loves you, because you have loved me and have believed that I came from God.

Jesus told us that ‘loving him’ was ‘keeping his words and teachings’. It is not some ‘warm feeling’ or emotional frenzy.

“If you love me, you will keep my commandments.

Whoever has my commandments and keeps them, he it is who loves me. And he who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I will love him and manifest myself to him.”

I'm sorry beloved sheep's, goats, left right in Mat 25 not speaking of the covenant. But it is picture of OT Temple / more precisely in the time of mourning. High Priest in the middle, right priests, and left were always common people/his little once...Those who didn't feed His little once with unleavened bread, gave them Spirit/to drink, didn't cloth them with salvation / perished = time of mourning

The whole ministry of Jesus we see He argue and warn only religious leaders..He never warned common people, because common people followed Him, but religious leaders caused tensions.
And as we see today, many priests, pastors teach and warn common people with this teaching, and by that deceiving and making them afraid and question salvation..
James 3:1My brethren, let not many of you become teachers, knowing that we shall receive a greater condemnation..
