Understanding a biblical perspective of debt is crucial to living a healthy, Christian life. The effects of debt can not only handcuff what God wants to ultimately do through you, but if we don’t get it under control, it can be crippling. So where does debt come from? How does God actually feel about debt? And if you’re currently in debt, how do you get out of it?

Thank you, Jesus, for leading me, but I have done some things that are not of You. I want to get out of debt, and watching/listening to this message touched my heart to move. Grant me wisdom and guide me to a better life without debt.

Thank you so much, I was sitting here at work listening and it hit me. I am in A LOT of debt and I can try everything to get out but if I don't change my heart and mind about debt/money/credit first I will be stuck in this cycle. Thank you Father God for the message.

I was a long season of covetousness and debt for over a decade. To me I was able to control it. I had no problem paying it off. It became uncontrollable when I bought a car 2017. My first car but it created a hole that I couldn’t get out of alone so I went through bankruptcy. 😢 but still didn’t learn my lesson like learning to save and to say no to things that I don’t need. My thoughts about money began to change 3 years ago. Baby steps. Then I went through Financial Peace course and Mrs. Tara who has been helping the way I see and use money. I am doing better than yesterday but it’s still a struggle but now I’m learning and knowing better.

4:04 "Never having enough leads to spending more than you have." This is a loaded statement Preston.

Makes me wonder if it's also a type of stress response, whereby always chasing gives people an illusion of purpose.

I was just speaking to our nanny about this, this morning. She has spent the past 2 years renovating her home, and this morning she lists some things she still wants to do. I turned to her and said "Aunty Angie" isn't it time for a break?"

We spend so much time in the chasing that we just pass through the accomplishment.

Anyway, let me get back in...

Debt is an attempt to create a life God has not called you to OR to start living the life God has called you to in 10 years as though as if it should be here today - Pastor P.

Question: I watched through the sermon and I loved the points Preston made on honoring God through the small actions, but I am conflicted about the overall message. I am starting graduate school next week and will likely take on a significant amount of debt in order to achieve the degree the Lord put on my heart over 15 years ago. I budget the loans, tithe my time, and am applying for all of the scholarships I can— am I in the wrong with going into debt over a degree I am 100% confident the Lord has called me to receive, having no other way to obtain the funds unless He blesses me financially?

I also understand the message could be pertaining to going into debt over unnecessary things, but I am curious, is education under this category?

I cannot believe this series is actually happening because episode 1 alone has already transformed so much in my life….I listen on my way right before work and it has me in tears the way it directly hits my heart. I feel the weights falling off. God is about to do so much through this man’s obedience and this series for the lives of so many 😭😭😭😭😭😭 thank you for your obedience Preston 🥺

I prayed to God to help me with my finances after 2 years of being a Christian. Now all of a sudden my favourite online pastors have been posting content about money. If this isn’t God then I don’t know what is!
