I don't feel like scrolling through all the comments to see if anyone else mentioned it, but you can ask for help. You say "sumimasen" and then like, something like please help so "taskete kudasai" and they can lower the difficulty for you. Like, you gotta try a few times, but they want you to win at these. Watch CDawgVA's crane game vids for the exact phrase. They're funny too. Anyway good luck getting food from the arcade in the future.
