How to update the Bose SoundLink Mini 2

In this video, I will show you, how you can update the software of the Bose SoundLink Mini 2 speaker. It is worth to do this firmware update regularly and can be particularly useful if you have a problem with your speaker.

Downgrade the software:

If the updater says that your device is up-to-date and you still have a problem, you can try to set it back to a former software version and do the upgrade again.
When it says there is no update available, you need to type the following keys: [a], [d], [v], [up arrow], [down arrow]. After that, you should be able to select a former software version.

Hi my Bose minilink when switch on no announcement comes up / I went online update it that s ok ; I can factory reset, flash light / etc, but still can switch on, but no any announcement comes up ! “ battery x % connected to “ ; seems to me is more serious matter ... than just resetting as everyone is showing in you tube video / is quite new only 2 /3 years roughly . I have a Bose mini soundlink one (I think) I have had the speaker for about 4ish years, and the battery will charge but only lasts about an hour. Is there anyway I can fix this or does this need to be replaced? Thanks for your time and expertise.

I see what the problem is. In the upper righthand corner of the updater, it says CHANGE LANGUAGE. Try that.
