Samsung Galaxy Book3 Series Unpacked

Samsung unveiled a lineup of Galaxy Book3 series, the latest flagship laptops featuring the Galaxy Book3 Ultra, Book3 Pro 360 and Book3 Pro 14 & 16. Mark was at the Samsung Experience Store in downtown San Francisco for a first look at all the new laptops.

Having owned (and still use) a 2017 model Samsung laptop (convertible with s-pen), I have confidence that these devices too would be good (fingers crossed). I would love to go for the Ultra: with its 16 inch AMOLED display, full HDMI out, headphone jack (yes, it does matter still) amazing NVIDIA GPU options, ample RAM and CPU power and overall and light and sleek compared to the standard gaming fare. If there are no thermal or throttling issues, then what is there not to love this model? Perfect for some data science and 3D visualisation work and yet light enough to carry around everywhere!

Waiting for some more in-depth reviews before making a decision!

I used to own a Samsung Ultrabook 2012. It wasn't as powerful, but still just as light and thin.

In these new books because of higher resolution, the power-hungry Processing and the Dedicated GPU, It will be intresting to see how long the Battery will last ? I own the Book pro 2 whcih has 1080p resoultion & intel i7 12gen with 68Wh battery gives me around 7~8 hrs on average usage. looking forward for battery test video.

Can I have a laptop which I can upgrade myself
Is it repairable so ir wont end up in landfill within three years because it stuck toether ?
Has it go spytelemetry onboard or on the chip so its too insecure to meet the new EU CE certification ?
Since samsung is producing ARM chips and risc 5 chips why use intel chips anymore?
Has it got two ssd slots?
Has it got a full size SD slot ?
Has it got a replaceable ram and wireless card ?

The Ultra looks very interesting, but I'm concerned on how Samsung is going to deal with temperatures and throttling with a Core i9 and RTX 4070 in such a small factor.

No Pause and Menu keys. ☹️
I use the Menu key a lot.

Ultra does not have 360 rotation feature also it will be very hot from the bottom after usage dont waste your money on ultra

Hum. No windows hello, something that lives happily in my super think and light 13" spectre from a couple years ago. IDK man.
Maybe they couldn't work around the OLED w/o a notch

What do you gain not having a dedicated power port? How common is a dongle that can deliver even 100W. And there are notebooks that has 140W power over thunderbolt, with up to 240w to come.

PSA: The Ultra's price class competition has HDMI 2.1, while this Samsung has HDMI 2.0.
