Each device costs $20,000, and White Settlement is buying more than a dozen. I am in support of ideas like this for many reasons, because I don't think high speed chasing is safe either.

Cops can't play road chase games with a suspect, without putting innocent lives in extreme danger, so I am in favor of alternative techniques that don't add to the risk to others.

And cops LOVE them. they have qualified immunity and don't have to give you their dashcam as they will 'oops it got deleted' it.
