I have noticed that whenever I go into a big medical clinic or see an MD that I personally don't like, my BP registers high. However, when I had my BP checked out by my old family physician, the one I'd been seeing for forty years (and was incidentally a world-renowned internist), he stated categorically, "Bruce, you don't have hypertension". I work out all the time and my heart rate is normally very low (low 60s or high 50s). However, I definitely do have TMS that resulted in a massive back attack shortly after the death of my late mother, whom I'd been caring for after the death of my dad. Seems as though I never had a sign of hypertension either until after her death. Likewise, seems like my unconscious repressed anger, associated with separation anxiety, was the driving force behind both my TMS and my occasional and situational hypertension. Surprised you didn't refer to Robert Benson's Relaxation Response book in this video. I understand that Kaiser is using Benson's meditation techniques along with drugs in their treatment of HBP. Great video that sums up something I suspected for a long time about the relationship between unconscious repressed emotions and TMS and hypertension. Unconscious emotions it seems to me is the key term here. Stoic and calm on the outside, seething with rage within.

HI, I've been on the TMS journey for a while. Now my hip is starting to give me issues and pain goes throughout my legs. My left hip had dislocated in an accident 30 years ago. The doc said that there may be a piece of bone that got loose. Off and on I have had issues with pain, but it went away quickly. Had an Xray 10 years ago and they said funny enough there was a little arthritis in the other hip. I pulled a muscle in my right hip area and now it is progressing to my left hip. It is in terrible pain. Went away for a few hours yesterday and today worse than ever. So, I was doing some exercising to strengthen my hip area since I know my hips are weak. I am so scared since I don't want surgery due to other issues. I'm hoping this is emotional because it feels so real since the pain is stabbing. My mind keeps thinking about the loose bone. It is so bizarre how symptoms move and change all the time. i also have a right arm (upper part) that hurts bad and hard to move. Last year it was my left arm. But the right is much worse. I am hoping to set a time to talk to you soon.
