Показать описание
This episode of Working Homes features a property called Black Barn Farm. Its located in north-east Victoria is the part- home, part-orchard and part-learning and social hub for food and sustainability lovers.
Owners Jade and Charlie moved into this amazing property three years ago with their three children.
They knew exactly what they needed to achieve their vision. The property would need to be relatively close to a tourism town and would need to be east facing with good access to water and soil. It took them 10 years to find the perfect property
They finally struck gold with the 23-acre land, house and packing shed in Stanley. During the renovations of their farm property, they spend six weeks in a tent while they painted the in and outside, replaced all the floorboards and lighting, and updated the kitchen and the bathroom.
The very first major thing Jade and Charlie did however was transform the driveway-roundabout into a vegetable garden right at the back door. This project and property has been a dream long in the making for Jade and Charlie. To share their love of food and sustainability with the community
