Frequency Trees - 2 Examples On How To Complete A Frequency Tree From The Given Information

In this video you will be shown how to complete a frequency tree.

In example 1, 80 people were asked if they like football. 47 of these people were men, the rest were women. 7 of the men do not like football. 65 of the 80 people like football. Use this information to complete the frequency tree.

First fill in the 47 men, and then work out 80 minus 47 to give 33 women. Next fill in the 7 into the men who do not like football bubble, and subtract this from 47 to give 40 men who like football. Finally work out the amount of women who like football by subtracting 40 from 65 to give 25. The women who do like football can be found by subtracting 25 from 33 to give 8.
