Ben Simmons' career might truly be over. From being one of the most promising rookies in NBA history to an all-time defensive liability, Ben's downfall has been shocking. Despite starting his career with historic feats like breaking rookie records and drawing comparisons to Magic Johnson, Simmons' refusal to improve his shooting left him exposed. The infamous 2021 playoff moment where he passed up a wide-open dunk marked the start of his decline. From being criticized by Joel Embiid and Doc Rivers to holding out and eventually coming off the bench for the Brooklyn Nets, Simmons now finds himself on an expiring contract with no guarantee of a future in the NBA. Is this the end of the road for Ben Simmons?

It’s over. He’s in his late 20’s and mentally he’s shown zero sign that he’s addressed the severe mental issues he has. His ego is way too bloated for him to do the physical work to improve his shot, and weaker still to address his confidence issues. Even if he started now (which he won’t because he’s complacent af and has zero grind), by the time he’s in a good place he’d probably be over 30 and won’t ever reach his stride the way he would’ve if he just got his head out of his arrogant ass years earlier and listened to Kobe and fixed his jump shot

Ben Simmons is currently in the final year of his 5-year, $177, 243, 360 contract. If he saved half of his money he should never have to work after he retires from basketball.

That Rivers clip is one of the worst coaching moments in history.

There was a time when Ben Simmons was the newest shoe in the store- smelled great and sounded like a dying duck when squeaked across the floor.

simmons played bad in that series but it’s kinda disgusting how he got scapegoated. it’s not like doc and embiid did much better than him lol

Remember Ben had a nervous breakdown after Devon Booker stole his girlfriend. If you’re a simp like him that’s something difficult to get over. 😮

I think the best thing for ben is to go overseas maybe 1 or 2 years and regain his confidence than comeback. Because we all know he has talent just not the confidence

He’ll find a home somewhere I’m sure. He still puts up some assist and rebounding numbers. His contract will be tiny in comparison of what he’s making now though.

lol that dude made like $200M. If he counts his chickens right, I'm pretty sure he'll be fine without the NBA.

You know NBA GMs are the worst managers, paying 200M guaranteed, hoping he will develop.

He needs a Caring, Loving, Intelligent, Tough Ass Old Head Mentor. The mentor has to be a strong person who knows what he is actually doing and talking about when it comes to COMFIDENCE and which he lacks. Regardless of his PAST, THE DUDE CAN BALL and his actual problem is A SMALL THING TO A GIANT. On the real shit, It's a Small One. Compared to some.

It is now my opinion that the Sixers blew it with Ben. They should've just left him alone about the damn jump shots. Seriously. The free throw stuff would've worked itself out naturally. He did so much more for the team than to worry about those things to the point where you would bench him or trade him. He was an all-star without a jump shot! He was a great scorer, passer and a pretty damn good defensive player. Now, can you let just anyone get away with not having a j? No. Of course not. But I would've let it go with him. Just keep doing all those other awesome things you're doing. We good. We gonna be

Ben Simmons is the perfect example of how where you are drafted has a huge impact on the player you become.
