Learn how to fit the bar and chain on your Husqvarna chainsaw.

Wear safety glasses and gloves.

Disengage the chain brake. Remove the bar nuts and the clutch cover. Remove the spacers and discard. Fit the bar over the bar bolts and move it to the rearmost position.

Place the chain over the drive sprocket. The cutter teeth should face forward on the top edge of the bar. Check that the chain correctly fits in the bar.

Fit the clutch cover on the unit. Tighten the bar nuts. Tension the chain. Make sure the chain can still be turned easily by hand. Tighten the bar nuts with a combination spanner.

Check the chain tension frequently until the chain is run in.

Incorrect information, a certified husqvarna dealer is NOT the only one that can fix it if you forget to disengage the break. It's an easy fix. I just did mine a couple days ago. It is not hard. Pull the cover apart, take the plastic off that's on the inside of the cover, pull the spring out which will give it enough room to put it back in where it needs to be. Pull the spring out, cut 3/4 of an inch off it, put it back in and reassemble. There is absolutely no change to the chainsaws ability to work properly. Again, this is what I did and it worked. Save yourself the money and do it yourself

I can't get the chain brake cover back on because the manual chain brake spring that goes around the chain brake is too tight. In fact I had a hard time getting the cover off because that spring was would not let go of the Chain break. Now I can't put the cover back on because the spring diameter Is too small.

Quetion ! Can I use a 24" bar and chain on the 435 saw? Have a couple larger trees to cut but not worth buying a new saw just for them.

my dad has this saw, when you start the saw the chain immediately rotates itself, its fine if the brake is activated but once you take the brake off the chain runs by itself, how do i adjust this, thanks

Anyone have issues with nuts vibrating loose when in use? I feel like there ought to be a washer or something but they just go snug against plastic on my Husqvarna 130 saw. 20 seconds of use is enough to see the first nut tumble. Seems dangerous.

Who the hell actually makes these institutional 70's style videos anyway? I feel like I'm supposed to sit in my chair and not talk until the lights come on because my company is paying me to watch it.

Should have been a simple video but when you have idiots making them and not taking their time and rushing... underneath the bar there are two white nylon washers that are not only missing entirely from this video but should show the correct replacement whether they go under or on top of the Under BTW
