I set out on galaxy hunting in Swedish Lapland to catch the M33 Triangulum Galaxy. It was a great evening with temperatures below -30°C and some Aurora Borealis on the sky. The M33 Triangulum Galaxy is a great galaxy target for astrophotography and I got pretty pleased with the result.

This night I used my Sky-Watcher MN 190 and the ZWO ASI 1600MM. I shot in LRGB and used filters from Optolong. As usual I used the Sky-Watcher EQ6R-Pro mount.

This is probably the most adventurous astrophoto channel on YouTube! Follow me out to wonderful remote dark locations near the Arctic Circle in Swedish Lapland.

The polar winter is harsh and extremely cold, but the dark skies are among the best globally, and nature is spectacular. But most of all, this is my home, where I do this wonderful hobby!

If you like my videos, please subscribe and join me out in the harsh polar night!

When "astrophotography gear" actually includes a lavo, stove, raindeer rug, firewood and an axe, thats when you know you are dedicated to the hobby! 😄
Great work, and cheers from Norway!

What a colossal work!!! Those who have never tried to shoot the processes of shooting astro photography will not understand. Yesterday I streamed under the starry sky, today I’m barely alive)) Thank you for the film and the English, which is accessible and understandable for a Russian-speaking pensioner from Odessa))

Scope, check, camera, check, sausages, with beaucoup mustard, check, reindeer rug (what?!), check, glogg, check. Sounds like a perfect outing to me David! Great image at -31C, you need to put in as a Sky-Watcher product tester. Thanks again!

You are very brave men, I live in Chile, South America. I will think carefully when I think is cold here, sometime -2 C° in winter, your pictures are always nice and is worth the sacrifice. Greetings from BelloCielo-Chile. Saludos y felicitaciones.

First of all Thanks for making the effort to document your outing. Second, as soon as I saw the sausage I knew the mustard would not be far behind. Ha! Third, when you were assembling the stove all I could think of was how unbelievably cold that thing had to be to the touch. Fourth, I enjoyed your video - especially the result.

I think its Just increddible these trips and adventures you create!
For some this could be a once in a life time adventure to do what you do, but here you go a few times a month. Facing the cold, the dark and sometimes some setbacks. But your Journey and the end results are breathtaking as always.
Than you David for taking us with you

I love the blues and purples that you have drawn out in M33. Spectacular. The tent, wood stove, glogg and sausages are a nice touch too! You put a lot of effort into your adventures. Not just the astro images but also the videography, drone shots and all the driving you do! Congratulations! Dr B from Manitoba, Canada 🇨🇦

Another excellent video David. Beautiful Triangulum Galaxy image. I’m also learning about Swedish cuisine. Glogg sounds like an excellent drink to go with icy astrophotography.

Excellent video David as always! Beautiful image, I love the spiral arms detail and colour! You did look very Cosy with your stove and fur rug! I agree about the mustard😀 very important! You gave me a great tip without even realizing it, using your spirit level to set your tripod legs to the same distance! Brilliant idea, I’ll do that next time, I always guessed it😀
Clear skies

Pretty awesome photo, even if your capture conditions were not that great! I have to ask, have you ever tried a horseradish mustard with your sausages?! I love it with my bratwurst, and other types of sausages!
