24 volt John Deere gator XUV 6x4 Restoration and Lighting upgrades

Follow along as we upgrade and restore this unicorn Peg Perego John Deere Gator XUV 6x4. Barn find turned into a beast with the led lighting in the headlights, tail lights and a blinding light bar to turn night into day. We also share our secret steering mod that greatly improves the steering radius. Faded plastic tips and tricks too. With 4 motors sucking juice this beast desperately needed a bigger battery pack, but where will it fit? Check out the video and find the ultimate way to get more than 100% more run time. Last but not least, we install a on off on switch on the brake circuit to provide parking brake, neutral or coast and our favorite, the ABS brake module.

It turned out great! Now it needs an electric actuator to lift the bed and a winch in the old battery compartment.

Do you have a video on how you wired the gator 6x4?

Awesome mods. Great video! I have this tractor but keep running into issues with the circuit board. Ive had to replace it multiple times. Do you know if its possible to fix the board or bypass it all together with a better set up? My kids also have the the smaller gators which last forever. Such simple machines with a battery, accelerator and motors. Not so much with the xuv

Just seen this vid. We have purchased a 2nd had 6x4, and want to upgrade the batts, how did you secure the batteries to the frame?

Curious why you are using SLA batteries for this build. Cost? Ease of charging?

How do you feel about putting 24V through Peg Perego gearboxes versus Power Wheels? Especially the older pentagon drive since I have an old Magica I want to restore and potentially hotrod.

Also, what are your thoughts on the Power Wheels Arctic Cat? I have a junk F150 but also have a chance to get a cheap Arctic Cat.
