We should stop worrying about upsetting Putin, He is targeting children, pensioners, and so Ukraine has the right to do what ever it needs to. And Crimea is part of Ukraine full stop.

Attacks by Ukraine on military facilities in Crimea is NOT a grey area.
Crimea is internationally recognised as part of Ukraine, regardless of what you may consider “de facto”.
So British missiles could be used there without breaking the agreement.
As far as I am aware, only Ukraine-made weapons (drones, etc) have been used on the Russian Federation.
The targets, as far as we can tell, have all been of military significance m.
I don’t think Ukraine would be foolish enough to break the conditions of supply of foreign weapons since the supply would then dry up.

There is no prohibition against Ukraine attacking Russia proper by the Western powers. The West only prohibits the use of long-tange weapons provided by the West to do the attacks.

I really dislike how America is being singled out as being cautious in supporting Ukraine, while 1. America was the one who warned of the invasion in the beginning (but wasn't taken seriously), 2. has supplied the most aid in absolute terms, and 3. has provided the most important weapon systems thus far. Remember how Germany refused to allow Leopard tanks to go to Ukraine? Or how France and Italy took nearly a year of war to realize this war wasn't just a huge misunderstanding? No, there are people in every country that has supplied Ukraine who thinks that is the wrong move. Trying to paint this as a uniquely American issue isn't just wrong, it is disinformation.

According to international law... a country that is attacked from another country, makes the military and "launching" targets legal goals. So as Russia started the war, Ukraine has the full right, not only to defend itself, but also TARGET military targets in Russia, if they are used for attacks in Ukraine.
