As parents we are what they grow beyond. It’s one of many bittersweet realizations all parents face once their babies are grown. As bitter as it is, the sweet part for me is watching them grow on their own. At the end of the day all I want for my son is for him to live a better life than I have and being able to witness his first steps towards surpassing me is a blessing and makes me very proud.
