I never know if I should delete comments or step in when arguments get hot, but I tend to ignore them.

However, everyone just be kind to each other please? Tools are just tools, you can use them or not, like them or not. Not picking on anyone here, nor saying anyone went over the line...just everyone please chill and be kind to each other. Thanks.

You’re experiences are almost identical to mine, from the delights right down to the bugs and frustrations. Ableton need to plug a few glaring holes quickly (like the track reordering) but on the whole I’m loving it.

Great honest overview. Thank you. Mine is supposed to arrive in a couple of days. This should be very helpful!

Great work, especially the reference to the ethernet connection is terrific.

I've run into an issue with mine where if I turn it on and don't touch anything for 20-60 minutes, the pitch bend strip will start getting a false input and get stuck all the way at the top. After leaving it powered on for about 12 hours, the touch pads started getting stuck too. It's not an issue if I touch the pitch bend strip and pads a bit after it boots.
I'm loving the push 3, though. These are the sorts of bugs that always happen with new hardware. Ableton has been upgrading and supporting the push models for so long, I trust them to fix these issues.

One suggestion: leave the display foil on during the honeymoon drooling phase please ;-)
Oh and I had no idea you ordered the stand-alone version, brave boy you are. The pads do play lovely right, I mean my fingers were flying and bouncing during my first try. It is only a matter of time before ordering a second hahaha.

You should be able to install packages in batch mode on desktop. Just select the packages you want with Control or Shift, right click and then choose install or sth. like that. Sadly not possible on Push 3, yet.

GREAT vid! BTW, do you still use the Launchpad Pro MK3? (I know you were a big fan a couple of years back.)

There are great guitar players with heavy hands. Stevie Ray Vaughan and Niles Rogers come to mind. The play extremely hard and with a lot of percussiveness. But yes there are tons of great players who have a light touch and fly around the fretboard.

This was really informative and helpful - THANK YOU! Subbed! 😁🙏👊
I've got no experience with ADAT, and I'm really curious about latency when using it with the Push 3 for recording external synths.... Have you encountered any issues?

Ha! My online authorisation came back with a wrong version and wrong email...
Reset / Authorise again worked.

Did you preorder the push 3 stand-alone when it said 4-6 weeks on the website? I preordered mine a week ago and the site hasn't changed it's estimation yet 😢

I actually only know how to play chromatic isomorphic keyboards or “grids”. Got a Launchpad Pro MK3 that I chose over the Push 2 but after this came out I might have to retire it because this seems perfect in my eyes 🥲 can it be powered by the computer through USB? If I head over to my friends studio will I have to bring the power cable or can I just use USB C to power it while it’s in controller mode?

I get this hardware, I get people like it, I get some don't, what I don't get is the absurd $ they're asking, especially for new adopters who don't have the software already and want to try it out.
I just think it's poor value for money.

you wont get latency problems if you record in Push3 Standalone.

But please keep in Mind that other People maybe have a different Workflow. If you record externaly via a Mixingdesk or A/D converters on a Different Computer you have up to 12ms Latency between Midi or CV Clock from Push and Pushs Audio out. Thats a dealbraker! Even if you want me to make Music.
I cant in this case.

But Bug is reported. And Ableton works on it. Hopefully fixed will be soon.
