I predict the second week of congestion pricing will start at the end of this first week of it.

Huh, looks like it's working as intended.

Is it possible to save the $9 if you switch from a car to mass transit? Two one way trips on the subway is $6. Is giving up the car to save $3 worth it? If $3 is a deal breaker than maybe you shouldn't own a car. Can't even get a cup of coffee for $3.

funny how they put “taking a toll” and then immediately report on nothing but the positives

The amount of time saved with congestion pricing is worth the 9 dollars

This week is not a fair measure, NYC is notoriously quiet after the holidays. As far as I’m concerned it’s way too early to tell.

Why $9 only?? Come on it’s NYC, it should be at least $20!!

I suspect traffic will continue to be lighter. The question will be is the MTA getting the revenue it thought it would.

Traffic is less in January always. April is a better test.

There has been some slight confusion on these videos. To clarify.

It's a $1.50 ser charge per ride in an uber or lyft inside of manhatten
which is separate from the $9 fee that you pay if your entering Manhattan through the tunnels or by passing 60th street. If you use an app you pay the $9 charge every time you travel past the zone, if your in a yellow cab talk to your driver about dropping the charge, otherwise It's likely he'll just pocket the cash and not report it.

Towards the end they said we're not sure why that is

be a real reporter and see if there is more cars by GWB and VZ. Traffic could be redirected and jammed up there

Congestion pricing has definitely reduced traffic but it's also taking a lot of people away from the city that are no longer going to come and I think that for those lovers of congestion prices you're going to have to fit the bill because that's going to be lost in volume of revenue for stores and businesses and you can expect to go up and your MTA still to suck because no one wants to go into those tunnels anymore. You just forcing people Also regarding forcing people forcing people to use their phones instead of Metro cards it's like a violation of privacy I don't want the MTA on my phone. Lastly the city is empty and that's not good
