A video about finding the right laptop for music production and recording. These are my top 5 picks for Black Friday and anytime they're on sale. I thought about doing these type of video more often but it makes sense to do it seasonal. Unfortunately, I didn't travel to Best Buy (due to the fact they wanted to sponsor the channel meaning I had to talk about their picks). Let me know how you feel about my choices.

I just bought the Asus ROG Strix G and it came w 32gb Ram, 1TB Nvme and a 1TB HDD witch I upg to a 2TB HDD, I'm running Fl. Studio 20 complete edition with decent amount of Plugins, my heavyweights are Omnisphere, Lethal, Massive X, Electra X from there on down and close to 1TB of Drum kits. Everything is good on my end, the plugs don't take long to upload and I bought it on Amazon open box for 1, 248 plus i added a 4 year warranty as well!

If it's one thing I've learned over the last two decades, it's don't cheap out when buying a PC. You might be happy in the short-term that you saved money, but in the long-term you'll regret having a weak machine. I learned the hard way that it's better to save up your coin and spend over a grand on a really good computer then to settle for something at half the price. I spent over a grand on an Asus laptop a few years ago, and I'm pretty happy with it. My previous laptop was a cheap HP. I agree that some brands do suck, and I'd put HP in that category.

Edit: I built my pc I use for recording but the wires needed to keep it silent (it has 7 fans on the water cooling radiators) which one of my mics would pick up on ever so faintly lol.

I was hoping I would see my laptop i jus bought lol....i jus got the Lenovo Legion y540 17.3 screen, yo Ave I swear this laptop been slept on....i7 9th gen with 1660ti, 16bg RAM(upgradeable to 32gb), 1TB HDD with 256 ssd(upgradeable 1TB), 300nits...got this for $999 at walmart!!!
