CORRECTION: "Duke Of Earl" wasn't a "'50s hit". It was 1962. Another great Vee Jay Record - with more unintelligible lyrics than Louie Louie - was Sheriff & The Ravels' "Shombalor". It was later covered by psycho-rockabillies, The Cramps.
