The title of the song, Goody Two Shoes, describes somebody who is one of those - he heeds the advice don't drink don't smoke. The late British general Bernard Law Montgomery (1887-1976) could be described as a goody-goody two shoes. The son of a clergyman, he had no vices and he neither drank nor smoked. Also, he was neither tall nor handsome.
