Your enthusiasm for the toy factor board in Karmaggain is infectious. I look forward to learning more about the game. Thank you also for sifting through 1, 400 entries on BGG to highlight the ones of most interest to you.

Excited to see you mention Light in the Mist / Emerald Flame! I’ve been playing a lot of those kinds of escape room puzzle games with family over zoom during the pandemic, and we’re going to finally get together in person and play Emerald Flame when it ships :)

fantastic video, jon! i might suggest for future ones to zoom the page in more so that the details are easier to make out on a mobile screen (i assume a sizable portion of your audience is on smart phones). if you zoom in enough, bgg transitions to its mobile mode. just a thought :)

As for games that you actually get to ride on the train, I demoed a very interesting riding-a-train game called Shinjuku on Shux last year. Hasn't been officially published yet but there's a TableTopSim mod I believe. Worth checking out!

On the subject of route building combined with pick up and deliver games, and how a lot of train games don’t actually include the pick up and deliver aspect or otherwise use the route in any way... have you played Rolling Freight? It’s in my collection specifically because of how it has you both build the route and use it to deliver cargo, and how it feels different to the “usual suspects” of train games.

And while I’m here, love your instructional videos and all the little touches of editing that you use to make them very easy to watch and follow. Watched your Anno 1800 video last night and when you said you were calling the tutorial there so that you could explain scoring, I exclaimed noooo and we ended up buying the game later the same night 😅

First saw your channel when you showed us either Mosaic or Hippocrates, and have been following since, as you might well be the best tutorial resource on YouTube. Definitely out of all the channels that I visit!

18zoo author here: it's going to be a KS next year. And I confirm it gets to be played in 110mins

So weird to make an Asterix game where you play as the Romans....
