The funny thing is that nobody listens to radio unless driving home, to the store or to work and bombarded with commercials on morning drive or on the way home; during the day very little commercial activity and heavily automated. Clear Channel plays the same play list over and over again. Its simply not a sexy model that all digital marketers want to see. IHeart is simply to support their stations and sweeten a radio buy. Giant agencies control what media is bought not regionally, but nationally. Bob is simply defending his outdated, overtly repetitive physical infrastructure of 850 stations and Bain Financial pulls the strings. Funny MTV killed radio, now the founder of MTV owns all the dinosaurs.
