For fairly fast swap of storage media I would trade off some speed especially for test and development. Once my configuration is stabilized I could then put it into a faster enclosure.

I have this enclosure for backups, so I can swap in and out different drives. It works great. He said it makes a bit of noise but I honestly can't hear mine. The only thing I would change on this is the tube attachment. It doesn't lock in very well and it would be nice to have notches in the "legs" of the tube that lock into notches in the base. Other than that, I love it.

it looks awesome, but what I thought you were going to say was that it illuminates the lettering in the acrylic tube. in some regards it's a little like the old 'trash can' mac in terms of the heat tube.
