Love it when Bobby and Jack get together, they crack me up. Should have their own "grand tour" style show

This is probably my favourite format of electric car, which is silly. Comprised, wacky, and a bit weird. But that's what makes it actually better than any of the others. Screw the rest of the square boxes, and bring on more of this!

We love the Bobby and Jack casual "fireside" chats. Can we have some more please.

I know the doors seem kind of stupid, but....
When you are parked next to another car - and let's face it, cars have gotten wider and wider but parkingspaces have not - it is really helpful that the door opens upward like that, particularly in a low sportcar.
I once read an article by a guy who had put Lambo-doors on his MGF (because he could), and he explained how helpful they were in France where cars park very close to one another. Ever since then whenever I have been in a tight space I can't help thinking how I would love that type of door on my own roadster - and it doesn't get easier with age to get one foot out of a narrow gap and get up to standing using just one leg -without scratching the neighbor's car.
Of course when parked out in the middle of nowhere it just seems silly, but try in a parking lot next to an oversize SUV, and you will see why the doors are that way.

I'm afraid to say that, as a crazed Red Dwarf fan, Bobby getting out of any car near me would result in me delaying his bathroom and quavers mission, regardless of the uniqueness of the door. That said, I really like the doors. I was very hesitant in the early concepts but in the production model they do seem to be much quicker so less annoying than I feared. They are also quite practical for tight spaces and I do like the idea of popping them open as I approach the car.

Also, I know what Jack means about kids being easily pleased, but when you're talking about sports cars they need to appeal to that inner child a little bit. That's why we drive them.

Beautiful car - saw it at your Harrogate show! Love the doors - 2 door sports cars inherently have large doors which are not practical in our car parks and their narrow spaces, so this is a great idea.

I absolutely love the rapport between Jack & Bobby!! Two well spoken gentlemen, of different generations, that clearly like and respect one another. Well done! Much love from 🇺🇸! Cheers and safe travels!

The doors, if you get over your worries about attention, are very practical.

Sounds like a laid back cruiser. Roof down, sun out, just enjoy it.

Im sorry, but this is so perfect for oldies who like MGs of old. Cyberster doesn’t cost stupid money, so they would probably be able to afford one. I could definitely see retired couples with a car enthusiast husband just touring Wales or Europe in one of these. Maybe Robert should get one to share with his wife 😂

One of the most beautiful cars in the modern era, wow!

That was quite an apt description of the reaction of a Tesla when you hammer the throttle - "well, f*** you then, voodoom [gone hand gesture]." My ID3 PP does a similar thing to the MG. You stand on the acceleraator and it says, "...are you sure?" And before anyone says, yes it is a bit slower [though not slow], but the delivery is how Jack is describing. Oh whoopee, I'm down for a test drive.
EDIT: The men are wearing hats that are NOT getting blown off their heads. Unless they're glued to their heads that's quite significant.

The thing is, if you want an electric convertible, this is the only option! I'd definitely buy one.

This is one of the best-looking cars currently for sale, and a style that was sorely missing among EVs.

I've seen the Cyberster up close and personal at the first Everything Electric Live Show in London. It managed something few cars can - it made Yellow look good - really good. It's not as small as an MG classic sports car, but you barely notice because the proportions are so spot on. It's like when the Mini One was first released. Despite dwarfing an original mini it still managed to look small. The Mini Clubman by contrast looks like it ate a couple of Mini Ones for breakfast. The Cyberster is very pleasing on the eye and (despite Jack and Rob not liking them) the doors are very cool and also practical. They are easy to open in small spaces. With cars getting bigger and parking spaces staying the same size that's a definite bonus. I would love to cruise around in one during those five annual hours when we get sunshine in the UK. The fact that you can still benefit from the near silent electric drive chain if you want to talk with the roof down is delightful. Driving through the countryside topless (ooh-er) able to talk to each other about the sound of local wildlife is one of the treats of going electric that ICE-tech owners can only imagine.

I enjoyed playing 'spot the Bobby' in the last few shots.
