I think the ship is fabulous and plan to book ICON in the future, but when the price comes down. I can do a nice transatlantic on Oasis for $700 for 14 nights as compared to ICON's $1700 for 7 nights. Ship is fabulous anyway.

I love the crystal dome, it's so beautiful but I pity the people who have to keep it clean. Man what a nightmare! Well, unless you really enjoy that kind of job and frankly why else would you do it? The space beneath the dome is unbelievable. Once I'd get on the ship I wouldn't want to get off, they'd probably have to haul me out kicking and screaming! If I were younger I'd apply for a job.

I personally was so let down when they made the announcement. The ship aesthetically just doesn’t look as good as the others. Slab side with no curves - solid apartment block walls. The giant glass dome makes the front look weird and unbalanced, like the ship has a tumor. The color theme in the rear boardwalk area looks like something out of a 1990s theme park. Maybe at my ripe old age of 27 I’m outgrowing royal caribbean, or they’re leaving me behind. I’ve been enjoying Holland America and Celebrity a lot more lately.
