Cypriot Tahini Pies with Orange Flavour

Today we're going to make Cypriot tahini pies. Tahini, sugar and cinnamon is a perfect combination, but the orange zest makes it irresistible! The addition of sesame seeds makes the pies crunchy, but it is optional. This is a hand pie with layers of dough and sweet filling that melts in your mouth and my personal favourite.

Κυπριακές Ταχινόπιτες με Άρωμα Πορτοκαλιού

Υλικά (για 16 ατομικές ταχινόπιτες)
250 γρ. αλεύρι κίτρινο
250 γρ. αλεύρι για όλες τις χρήσεις
1 κ.γ. αλάτι
300 ml χλιαρό νερό
25g νωπή μαγιά ή 1 φακελάκι ξερή
300 γρ. ταχίνι
300 γρ. ζάχαρη κρυσταλλική
2 κ.γ. κανέλα
ξύσμα από ένα πορτοκάλι
50 γρ. σουσάμι (προαιρετικό)

Aphrodite, you are very talented. I was in Cyprus a few years ago and had a tahinopita from Zorbas bakery. i really enjoyed it. it was huge and delicious. Now i can make my own thanks to you.
