I live on a barrier island and will never evacuate again. When I tried to return to my home, police had blocked all the causeways and bridges to the barrier island and refused to let us return home for an entire day after the storm was over. All the way home, I looked for downed power lines or trees that might have been a hazard, there was nothing. Fortunately my house was OK, but the fire department had spent most of the day busting down doors so they could yell for anyone "trapped" inside. Thieves followed right behind them and no cops stopped them. The fire chief said "we're not concerned about that, we're trying to save lives". They saved no one, they let thieves in and cops kept owners away so the thieves had no one to stop them. It was abuse of the situation, and it will get people killed for decades until the last of those abused dies off. Which may be sooner than later. I am staying because of what police did when I evacuated.

Isn't free rescue something a country should do? Learn about the Eastern countries on the other side of the earth when a disaster occurs in a certain place. The first thing that appeared was that the countless supplies provided by their soldiers without compensation always arrived at the disaster area as soon as possible

There is alot of human debris in hurricane news live chats. Praising Trump, trolling & arguing rather than giving comfort & aid to storm victims.

Agnes was rough, too. She stayed around a long time. Didn't want to leave DC. And it was the summer of the Watergate scandal, I believe.

Deja vu; Trump's hurricane 'indifference' resembles his COVID response.

It would make US great again if they would ban hurricanes.

Trump has reached the pinnacle of his success and his end will be seen, whether he chooses it or it is chosen by another ; the slope, speed, and impact ; A phew, wisper, gasp, a scream, or something along the line of Rosebud. For the country it will be salvation.
