EXPLORING AN ABANDONED MALL | Medan Pelita, Kuching, Malaysia 🇲🇾

Medan Pelita is an abandoned shopping mall in the centre of Sarawak's capital Kuching. This building used to be busy with people enjoying food at the restaurants and watching movies at the Star Cineplex on the 9th floor.

I decided to do some urban exploring, so we went into the mall to learn more about it!

When people came across this place, people would remember that it used to be where we watch the cinema. That place is such a nostalgic.

It was one of the hangout (lepak) places especially for teens back in the late 90s.

I was there every weekend in 1998. It was nostalgic, so many things going on those good old days.

When i was 17 in 2005, me and my friends always went there after school to hangout playing arcade games, snooker and sometimes we watched movies there. The good old times

It seems this mall was a bright dan lively place. It is sad the mall closed and unused. In Surabaya, some malls are become almost like ghost place, so their management tries to convert the mall into co working places or rent them for churches.
